Here you have two links which will help you understanding how w2cd
works to convert a dynamic web site into standard HTML pages in
order to make them browsable from a CD-ROM.
First of all we recommend you to browse
the two following links in order to appreciate the differences
between the original and the w2cd processed web site. Pay
attention to how links to dynamic web pages have been renamed to
static HTML pages generated by w2cd. You can notice it by putting
the mouse over the links and viewing which are their URLs shown in
the status bar of your browser, or by watching their differences
in the HTML code.
If you want you can also download a ZIP compressed file with all the
final CD content. To test it follow this steps:
1.- Download the ZIP file by clicking here.
2.- Uncompress its content in a new folder on your hard disk (for
example, in 'C:\w2cd\').
3.- Then record a CD with all the content of that folder.
4.- Insert the CD in any computer you want and browse the entire
web site in the CD, without worrying if that computer has an internet
connection or not. Amazing... isn't it?
